 September 12th dawned bright and clear, but a chill autumnal mist hung low over the river meadows and summer-fattened spiders spun their webs in the dewy grass...... But it was a Sunday and no-one is up that early! More importantly it was finals day at the club and food had to be prepared, courts swept, cars marshalled, players corralled and the crowds herded ready for the big games.
So the weather turned fair and there was some excellent tennis. The refreshments were wonderful – there was lasagne with salad, delicious desserts, wine, beer and soft drinks. A big thanks to Nina, Sue K, Neil, Hilary, Claire, Nikki and Judy for all their hard work here.
